Born in 1978 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Andy graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication, and began his professional career as a sports journalist at national media outlets including FOX.
After years in sports media, Andy realized that his true passion was fighting for the principles that made America great. He moved to Nevada and has been helping Nevadans fight for freedom since 2006.
Andy served for nearly four years as the president of the Nevada Policy Research Institute, a non-profit organization that has served as Nevada’s foremost proponent of conservative principles, focusing on issues including education reform, fiscal accountability and government transparency.
Under Andy’s leadership, NPRI led the intellectual effort against the margin tax ballot initiative in 2014, and was instrumental in the measure’s lopsided defeat at the polls. NPRI also played a leading role in increasing educational freedom in Nevada, promoting the Education Savings Account program that put the Silver State at the forefront of the national school choice movement. Andy also led NPRI’s informational campaign to help thousands of Nevada public school teachers opt out of their union, saving those teachers hundreds of dollars each year and providing them greater flexibility.
Since his time at NPRI, Andy has gone on to serve as Executive Director at Morning in Nevada PAC, which was created in 2015 by friends of then-Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, and whose mission is to identify, educate, motivate and activate citizens in Nevada to advance conservative causes and elect conservative candidates. Andy also served as Policy Director on Laxalt’s 2018 campaign for Nevada Governor.
Having spent his early life in the liberal Northeast, Andy has gained a deep love and appreciation for the individualism and liberty-inspired ideals that define the great State of Nevada and the American West. And he is committed to protecting those ideals as the next Assemblyman from District 37.

WHEREAS, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak has exercised questionable “emergency” powers to deal with the COVID-19 health crisis and has used those powers in an arbitrary, contradictory, discriminatory, irrational and retaliatory manner; and
WHEREAS, the Governor used of his emergency powers to order the closure of certain “non-essential” private businesses that resulted in the highest unemployment rate in the country and numerous businesses filing for bankruptcy; and
WHEREAS, the Governor’s mismanagement of the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) has resulted in tens of thousands of Nevadans being unable to apply for and receive their unemployment benefits; and
